Selecting The Right Cabinets
Cabinets are much more than a functional part of the home. They can add color and complement appliances and make rooms feel unique. While some do not pay them much attention, carefully selecting them or staining them can add a completely unique feel wherever they are in your home. Some choose to get uniform colors and types from the kitchen pantry to the living room, to the bathroom sink cabinet, while others go in a more eclectic direction and try to make the space unique. Another great thing about them is the fact that a more elegant design is not always more expensive.
Most people tend to think of the kitchen when they hear about Cabinets. This is because most kitchens are built around them, especially in modern ones. Dark cherry types are becoming increasingly popular because they have a very rich look. One thing to keep in mind about the color of the cabinets is that it is very easy to stain them and make them darker should you decide to do so later on, but going the other way and making them lighter is difficult without replacing them altogether. In other words, if you have remodeling ideas, consider going with a color of wood that is not the darkest option available.
As for the Cabinets in the bathroom, they often come in several styles. The types around the sink are the most commonly thought of, but many houses have them built into the walls as well. These are often used to store linens and extra towels, and selecting the right wood for them can really add a nice element to the bathroom. If you are currently thinking about remodeling, consider changing the layout of the cabinet as well. You might be able to come up with a much better looking and more efficient arrangement.

So when you think about Cabinets, try not to just reduce them to a functional necessity. Look at them as beautiful additions to the kitchen and bathroom that can be updated time and time again to continue to keep the home modern and increase its resale value. |
